Roberta J. Fox selected as CATA Innovation award winner

The 2018 winner of the Wilfred Laurier University Public Sector Leadership Award in Advanced Technology is Roberta J. Fox – An Outstanding Leader in Innovation and Public-Sector Transformation for her work in leading the technology solution development for the Canadian Suicide Prevention Service (CSPS).

This award is presented to a leading individual from the public sector to recognize a significant contribution to the development and application of advanced technology in Canada.

A made-in-Canada success story, development of the Canadian Suicide Prevention Service (CSPS) brought a thousand people from Canada and the US together to successfully design and deploy this complex multi-media contact centre pilot solution in a period of only 8 months.

The Virtual Contact Centre project technology team consisted of 143 dedicated people including the following vendors:  Rogers, iCarol, Genesys, Impact Mobile, QuovimC3, Altitude Communications, Ariel Communications, CA Cloud, Communications Connection, Gazl Communications, GoToMeeting, HappyFox, Intraworks IT Management, LAN Solutions, Microsoft, ModGraphics, Northern 911, Transcend IT Solutions, Instatel, ZGM and FOX GROUP.

It is hoped that this solution stimulates the tech sector and governments across Canada to consider funding the development of other next generation mental health and technology enabled health care services.
