About Roberta J. Fox

Roberta J. Fox is known and respected for her creative, innovative style of working with organizations and her ability to leverage her knowledge of advanced technologies, business management and innovation experience. In her more than 30- year career, Roberta has brought to bear her unique ability to help organizations develop complex technology, business strategies and services that deliver sustainable results to the public, government, enterprise and non-profit organizations across Canada, the US and internationally. Prior to founding the FOX GROUP in 2000, a company providing technology and management advisory services, Roberta held senior level roles with Citibank, Hewlett Packard, Deloitte Consulting and AT&T. Roberta attended Fanshawe College in Business Administration and Electronics Engineering Technology and has been recognized by a number of organizations for her commitment to the community and the advancement of technology and innovation in Canada.

Over the last two years, Roberta J. Fox was the Chief Technology Officer for Crisis Services Canada (CSC), and, in that role, she led the planning, delivery, launch and implementation of the new CSC integrated voice, text and chat service across Canada, offering 24/7, free-to-user, confidential support. She has also been the volunteer Chief Innovation Officer for Spectra Helpline in the Region of Peel.

This ground-breaking suicide prevention support service is available from anywhere in Canada via voice, text and chat to individuals who are in crisis, considering suicide or affected by suicide. The virtual technology solution provides the first national multimedia contact centre, providing advanced routing, tracking and reporting to CSC members and various stakeholders. This innovative world-leading solution went live on November 28th, 2017 and was on-time and on-budget. In her new CEO role, Roberta will be working with the CSC board and clinical committees to help CSC develop its long-term strategic plan to achieve its key business, financial management, member expansion, marketing and technology objectives by calling upon her vast experience and knowledge of growing and advising successful business ventures. She will also be leading the upcoming public launch.

Some of the founding CSC members individually have over fifty years of experience in providing emotional, mental health and suicide prevention support to people in need across Canada. They all share a commitment to best practices and a common set of core values that promote accessibility, inclusivity and leveraging their collective strengths, local knowledge, resources, experience, information and technology to support the needs of all people in Canada.


CSC is a collaboration of non-profit distress and crisis service centres from across Canada whose members have been working together since 2002 to reduce the impact of suicide. In 2017, the management organization was formed and incorporated under the name Crisis Services Canada. In recent years, they formalized the organizational structure with a focus on strengthening and growing regional service, capacity and delivery capabilities to address the nation-wide gaps in service.
